Our story
In May 2014, Yarmouth’s small-town post office hung up its stamps and closed its doors to reopen as PO41 Coffee House. The name is taken from our town’s postcode to keep the post office’s legacy alive. Although we are no longer the post office we have kept our original post box so you can still use it!
​We’ve preserved the original letterbox, pigeonholes, and signage, celebrating the building’s history while serving amazing coffee and cakes.
After years of welcoming locals and visitors—many saying, “We travelled far just for your coffee”—we knew we had something special.
Having made it successfully through Covid and various lockdowns, the business was eventually sold to a dedicated coffee lover (and a regular at PO41). After a small renovation to freshen up some wear and tear, we reopened and have been serving the island’s beloved PO coffee ever since!

The journey behind
Our Po41 house blend is bespoke to us and roasted locally on the island using ethically sourced beans from Costa Rica, Brazil and Honduras (the darkest and largest component of our blend). Each of these have their own recipe within themselves which is called the roast profile. Po41 Coffee is a speciality grade which is the most premium type of green bean that can be bought to ensure we start with the very best raw material and is of an international grade standard. As our beans are roasted weekly by the amazing Emily D’Alessio and her team we can ensure we have the highest standards and that our blend is always perfect.
Our coffee is available to enjoy in any of our stores and our beans are available to take away and make at home.

Nestled on Quay Street in Yarmouth, just a short stroll from the harbour and ferry terminal, our cosy coffee shop offers the perfect spot to unwind. Enjoy a variety of drinks, from creamy oat lattes to smooth cortados. We're dog-friendly too, so feel free to bring your furry friends along!
